Bhagat Singh played an important role in the independence of the country. Sacrificed himself for the sake of freedom. It should not be forgotten that he has a large number of fans not only in India but also in the neighboring country Pakistan. (Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation) is being run by Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi in his name. He is the director of this organization. He fought a case in the Supreme Court of Pakistan to change the name of Shadman Chowk in Lahore after Shaheed Bhagat. After a long battle they achieved victory. The court gave an immediate decision to keep Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. Six years passed, but the name was not changed. Now again a petition was filed in the case of contempt of court’s decision. Showing seriousness in this matter, the court summoned the government and administration on March 4.
According to Qureshi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh was a hero not only of India but also of Pakistan. He continued the war against the British in Lahore. Went to jail several times. He also has old connections with Pakistan. His organization is fighting for the rights of Bhagat Singh. Not only this, the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation organization is doing many good works in the country. Social work is the priority objective of this organization. A large number of people are associated with them in every province. He was already trying to name a square after him in Lahore. Therefore, resorted to the Supreme Court of the country for completion. The court took serious consideration of this issue on every aspect and in the year 2018 ordered the local government and the administration to keep Bhagat Singh Chowk.
For 6 years he got false solace everywhere. The government and administration took this issue very lightly. The case was related to the country’s martyr Bhagat Singh, hence, he continued his efforts. Now again for contempt of the Supreme Court’s decision, he again filed a petition in the court. The petition cited the loose system of government and administration. The justice of the court took strict cognizance of this petition. He summoned senior officials of the government and administration at the next hearing. They will have to appear on Monday, March 4.
