In a rape case that took place in Thana Meherban area of Ludhiana, police got the victim girl aborted on court’s order. In the case of rape of a 12-year-old girl, the girl was admitted to the civil hospital. The fetus was kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital by the police to get it tested with the DNA of the accused arrested in the case of rape of the girl.
Today, on Thursday, DNA samples of both will be taken and sent for testing. After the report comes, it will be ascertained whether the said accused had raped the girl or not. A special panel of doctors was also formed to investigate this case. The girl’s statement has already been recorded by the police.
Let us tell you, on July 31, the police of Thana Meherban had registered an FIR of rape of a girl studying in class 5. According to this, the youth living in the adjacent room raped the girl. Seeing the bulge in the girl’s stomach, the mother became suspicious and upon examination, the daughter was found to be pregnant. After this, the police registered an FIR and arrested the accused. The Ludhiana court had ordered the abortion of the girl.
