Youths riding on Activa opened fire in Ludhiana’s reputed bakery in broad daylight on Wednesday. The miscreants fired three rounds one after the other. One bullet hit the neck of the bakery owner, due to which he got injured. At the same time, a person sitting with him was also injured. Hearing the sound of firing, there was a panic among the people and employees present inside the bakery and there was a stampede. After carrying out the crime in a few minutes, the accused fled on the Activa itself. The employees took the bakery owner Naveen Kumar and Indrajit sitting with him to a private hospital for treatment. Seeing the condition of both, they were referred to DMC Hospital.
On receiving the information of the incident, senior police officers and police of Sarabha Nagar police station reached the spot. Police have checked the nearby CCTV cameras. Two accused have been captured coming on Activa in the CCTV.
In this case, ADCP Crime Amandeep Singh Brar said that no case of robbery has come to light in the investigation so far. Now the family members and the injured will be talked to. Only after this the whole story will be clear whether the youth who fired the bullets knew them or not. Nearby CCTV cameras have been checked. In which the accused are seen fleeing. The number of the Activa is also being checked. Soon the accused will be arrested and the whole case will be solved.
