A case of molestation of a girl while going to school has come to light in Jagraon. When the girl protested against the molestation, the accused youth along with his companions entered the girl’s house and attacked her. The accused injured the girl by hitting a bottle on the head.
Taking action in this case, the police registered a case against 9 people including three unknown accused and started further investigation. The accused have been identified as Ajay Gill, Karn Gill, Bablu, Deepu Gill, Satnam Singh alias Kamma and three unknown people including Neeta.
SI Harpreet Singh of Thana City said that the girl, a resident of Rani Wala Khuh, in a complaint lodged at the police station, said that she studies in class 12th. Whenever she used to go from home to school, the accused Ajay Gill used to molest her often. He used to stop her on the way and harass her and forcefully ask her to be friends with him, but the girl refused to be friends.

After this, the girl’s father went to the accused’s house and complained to his family members, which angered the accused and along with his friends, attacked the girl’s house with bricks and other weapons. The accused forcefully opened the gate of their house and entered inside. When the girl protested, they hit her on the head with a bottle and injured her. When she raised an alarm, the accused threatened her and fled. The police said that a case has been registered against the accused on the girl’s complaint and raids are being conducted to arrest them.
