There is a wave of anger among the family members as no clue has been found for 25 days of transporter Raj Kumar who was kidnapped from the Transport Union outside Khanna’s grain market on June 26. The family and the people of the locality, upset with the working style of the police, gathered and reached the city police station. There they expressed anger against the police and raised slogans. Only after this, they gave a 48-hour ultimatum and warned to block the GT Road.
Anger on CIA personnel being removed from the team
Rajkumar’s brother Tek Chand said that the police and the family members have been searching for Rajkumar since June 26. A police investigation team was formed. In which CIA staff personnel were included.
A personnel Rajbir Singh worked hard to trace the case to a great extent after checking all the cameras. When the police reached the accused, Rajbir Singh was removed during the ongoing investigation. Due to which the entire investigation got affected and the accused were successful in absconding.
They are angry about why Rajbir was removed from the investigation team. Tek Chand said that a meeting was held with SHO Vinod Kumar today. In which first of all Rajbir Singh was assured to be included in the team again. It was also claimed that the police will reach a conclusion within 48 hours. After this assurance, all the people have come out of the police station. If the police do not do a satisfactory job within 48 hours, then they will come on the streets.
Parts found in the forest 250 km away
Raj Kumar’s Mahindra pickup vehicle was hired from Khanna Anaaj Mandi and then he was kidnapped. Parts of the vehicle were found near a community’s camp in the middle of the forest in Tarn Taran area, about 250 km from here. Khanna police had reached there.
But the accused fled from there after seeing the police vehicles half a kilometer away. SHO Vinod Kumar also accepted that the case has been traced to a large extent. The parts of the vehicle have been recovered. The accused will be caught soon.
This is the case
The City Police Station has registered a case of kidnapping against unknown people on the complaint of Prince, son of Raj Kumar. According to the complainant, his father has been driving a Bolero pickup vehicle number PB 10 GK 0512 for a long time. On June 26, 2024, a Mona person came to his father at Khatra Transport and told his father that his vehicle had broken down near Manji Sahib, as his vehicle was parked full of vegetables, so it has to be towed and brought to shop number five in Khanna Sabzi Mandi.
After the fare was fixed, at around 8 o’clock, both of them started towards Manji Sahib. Then after 20 to 25 minutes, when his father’s mobile started switching off, he went out in search of his father. No clue has been found till date.
