Amandeep Kaur, resident of village Ranike of Sangrur, Punjab, reached Canada after spending 28 lakh rupees of her in-laws and after getting PR, she rejected her husband. Not only this, but without divorcing her husband, she quietly came to her maternal home from Canada and made a Roka (relationship) with another man and made a contract to take him to Canada for lakhs of rupees.

The victim’s family held a panchayat but she flatly refused to take her husband to Canada. The victim Jaswinder Singh complained to the Ludhiana Rural Police Chief SSP Ankur Gupta. The complaint was investigated by DSP CAW Inderjit Singh Boparai, the allegations in the complaint were found to be true, after which on the orders of SSP Ankur Gupta, a case of conspiracy, breach of trust and fraud was registered against Amandeep Kaur, her father Makkhan Singh and mother Kulwinder Kaur.

Police station in-charge Jaswinder Singh said that it is being investigated whether Amandeep Kaur is in India or Canada now. If she is in Canada, a legal notice will be sent to her address. The help of the Indian Embassy will also be taken in this. Apart from this, notice is also being sent to arrest her father Makkhan Singh and mother Kulwinder Kaur.

Jaswinder Singh told the police in his complaint that his son Gurdeep Singh got married to Amandeep Kaur on 30 October 2018. According to the contract made before marriage, he had to bear all the expenses of sending Amandeep Kaur to Canada, in return Amandeep Kaur had to call his son (husband) to Canada. Amandeep reached Canada in May 2019, but after getting PR in Canada, she gradually reduced her contact with them. Not only this, without informing them, she quietly came to her maternal home and got married to another young man and made a contract for lakhs of rupees. Her maternal family started pressuring them for divorce. Amandeep and her family refused to take their son Gurdeep to Canada and talked about divorce. He said that his wife died due to this shock and his son started getting mentally disturbed.
