Social worker Inderjit Singh has made a strong attack against Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee (SGPC). Said that the organization has completely deviated from the issue of the basic principles of the Sikhs. There is complete looting in the educational institutions. The students of the poor Sikh community have become completely unable to get education. If SGPC succeeds in providing proper education to the children of Sikh community here then perhaps no one will show interest in going abroad. This is happening because of their wrong policies. At the behest of a political party, everyone from the President to the Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht is issuing orders. Instead of reforming the Sikh society, they are being separated. On Thursday, social worker Inderjit Singh was addressing the people of Sikh community on the occasion of Martyrdom Day.
Social worker Inderjit said that Sikh history is very old. The sacrifice of the Gurus can never be forgotten. But the sad thing is that the youth of the Sikh community have forgotten the teachings of the Gurus. Drunkenness filled him with poison. It is surprising that the highest body of Sikhs, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), has not been successful in taking corrective steps till now. Most of the children of the Sikh community are leaving the educational institutions associated with the Sikh community and getting education in English schools. Sadly, they have no knowledge about the history of the Sikhs. They don’t even know how many Gurus the Sikhs have. Which is a matter of concern in a way. For this, SGPC will have to come forward and improve its functioning, only then change can be seen in the Sikh society. If SGPC is separated from the political party then perhaps it will be very good for the Sikh community. From the President of such a big organization to the Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht, everything is done at the behest of a political party. Many times the Sikh community has suffered a lot due to his decisions. There has been opposition to this in Sikh organizations also. But, no significant effect has been seen in these.
Demanded that SGPC should establish a separate educational institute in every city of the country, in which only the children of Sikh community should be trained about the principles of Gurus.
Sushil Malhotra, Ajay Kumar, Gaura, Sahil Malhotra etc. were present on this occasion.
