A scuffle broke out between Punjab Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) conductor and plaza workers at Tola Plaza in Amritsar, Punjab. In which the conductor got injured, while the toll plaza employees have accused of removing Sikh’s turban and disrespecting kes. Police has started investigation on the basis of CCTV cameras.
PRTC bus conductor Gurlal Singh said that he had a bus time from Amritsar. He had a time from Subhanpur next. When he reached Manawala toll plaza in Amritsar, there was a long jam here. Seeing that the bus time was over, he requested to take the bus out from the side lane.
He also said to pay the toll fee, but the toll workers refused to let the bus go through that lane. While Gurlal says that private vehicles were being taken out from there.
On the other hand, toll plaza workers alleged that the fight was started by bus conductor Gurlal. He removed the turban of the toll worker. After which the matter escalated and it reached the stage of a fight.
The police from Manawala police station reached the spot and started taking action after looking at the CCTV cameras. Statements of both the parties are being recorded. The police say that only after investigation will they be able to tell who is at fault.
