Even after the murder of Moosewala on 29 May 2022, there were reports of his rivalry with notorious gangster Lawrence starting after the Didba show. Lawrence did not want Sidhu to perform in this show.

Didba show is held in Kabaddi tournament:
Didba is a village in Sangrur district of Punjab. Kabaddi tournament is held here every year. A similar Kabaddi tournament was held in the year 2020. In the show of February 2020, Sidhu Moosewala was also invited for the first time.
Lawrence did not want Moosewala to go to the show:
During this show, Sidhu Moosewala’s songs were back to back hits. But, when gangster Lawrence came to know about it, he asked Sidhu Moosewala not to go to this show. Lawrence gang believed that their rival Bambiha gang of Punjab was behind this Didba show. If Sidhu Moosewala goes there, then Bambiha gang will get promoted.
Moosewala came live after doing Didba show, said- I am not going to be afraid
After the Didba show, Sidhu Moosewala came live on social media. In this, Moosewala had said- I am getting death threats and calls. But, I am not going to be afraid of anyone. The more you tease me, the bigger attack I will make. I respect people older than me, but these people had the misconception that I am scared. Sidhu had further said that calls were made to me. I am neither afraid of the phone nor will I be afraid in the future. The hair on my head has turned white, but I have not yet gained wisdom. When shoes started falling, no one saved me. Getting calls on someone’s personal number is the work of brokers. I can also get it done, but I am not like that. I have never harassed anyone in my life by getting such calls.
What did gangster Goldie Brar say about the Didba show..
Sidhu and Lawrence were friends: According to a Canadian journalist in the BBC documentary, gangster Goldie Brar, who executed the conspiracy to kill Moosewala, also mentioned the Didba show. Before the Didba show, Sidhu and Lawrence were friends.
Friendship turned into enmity after going to the show:
Goldie Brar had claimed that the Didba arena was being organized by Mandeep Dhaliwal, an important member of the Lawrence gang’s rival group. That’s why Sidhu was forbidden from doing the show. Sidhu’s going to the show caused resentment between Lawrence and Moosewala. This show turned friendship into enmity.
Reiki of Moosewala was started:
Goldie Brar further said – Moosewala was threatened regarding the show that he will not leave you. After the threat, Sidhu Moosewala went live and vented his anger against the Lawrence gang and said that he would definitely do the show. After this, Lawrence’s henchmen started recce of Sidhu.
Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur has expressed objection to the documentary
Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh has reached the court against the documentary in which Goldie Brar made these claims about Moosewala. He said that he came to know from somewhere that a documentary is being premiered in Mumbai in the name of Sidhu Moosewala. When he started investigating it, he found out that BBC is releasing it.
He appealed to BBC by mail to stop the release of the documentary and sent a legal notice through a lawyer. After this, an application was filed in Mansa Court to stop the release of the documentary. It was said that the trial of Sidhu’s murder case is still going on. This documentary has been made by the opponents, so they can influence the trial.
The hearing of the case is not yet complete and his final testimony is still pending. Mansa Court sought a reply from BBC London on the documentary. Despite this, this documentary was released by BBC on June 11.
