A shocking incident has come to light in Kapurthala. A young man, who was believed dead by his family and had already performed his last rites and offerings, was found alive in Kapurthala Central Jail about 15 days later. The family was initially shocked by the call from the jail, but upon reaching the jail and seeing the young man with their own eyes, they were overjoyed.
Ravi Kumar, a resident of village Kadupur, his father, TT, and brother, Amandeep Kumar, reported that Ravi left home on August 5th but never returned. The family searched for him extensively. When they couldn’t find him, they went to City Police Station, Kapurthala, on August 11th to file a missing person report.
Body identified based on photo
According to the family, police informed them that a decomposed body of a young man had been found near the training center on Kanjli Road. The police showed the family a photo of the body. A few days later, family members and others identified the body as Ravi Kumar based on the photo.
The family cremated the body on August 13th.

The matter took a new turn when, on September 2nd, the family received a call from Central Jail, Kapurthala. A jail employee informed them that a young man named Ravi Kumar was incarcerated. Hearing this, the family was devastated.
