The person who fired bullets at the elderly couple on March 1 turned out to be the couple’s own son. The police have solved the mystery of this blind murder within 4 days. The son had fired bullets at his parents due to the ongoing feud over land division. The police have arrested the accused son and his companion who came from France on Wednesday and have started further investigation.
Some unknown person had fired bullets
In this regard, DSP Vipan Kumar said that on March 1, some unknown person had fired bullets at the couple Sohan Singh and his wife Parminder Kaur who were returning home after serving langar near village Sarwali. In this firing, Sohan Singh resident of village Sarwali and his wife Parminder Kaur were shot. In this firing, Sohan Singh, an elderly man, died while Parminder Kaur was injured by the bullets.
There was no communication between the two
After registering the case on the same day, the police started their investigation and found out that Sohan Singh’s son Ajitpal Singh, who lives in France, had a land dispute with his father and there was no communication between the two. Ajitpal Singh had come to village Sarwali from France for the last one and a half months. Ajitpal Singh’s son made Balbir Singh, a resident of Sarwali, who had an old rivalry with his father, his partner and started planning to kill his parents.
He left the bike on the spot and fled
As per the plan, on March 1, 2025, at around 9 pm, when Sohan Singh and wife Parminder Kaur were returning to the village after serving langar, son Ajitpal Singh opened indiscriminate fire on his parents with an illegal pistol of 32 bore. Due to which the couple was shot. Ajitpal Singh left his bike on the spot and fled. The police have arrested both the accused Ajitpal Singh and his companion Balbir Singh and recovered the pistol from them. Further interrogation of both the accused is being done.
