After losing the Delhi assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will make his first political entry in Punjab. Although Kejriwal has campaigned for the party several times in the Punjab Lok Sabha elections, by-elections and civic elections, but after the defeat in Delhi, he will be attending the party’s political program in Punjab for the first time. He will be seen addressing the people for his candidate Sanjeev Arora on the Ludhiana West seat.
Kejriwal is coming to Ludhiana on March 18. He will dedicate some services from the health sector to the public. Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa said that Vipassana is an excuse of Kejriwal, in fact he will enter the politics of the state on the pretext of by-election on Ludhiana West seat. Bajwa said that after losing the Delhi assembly elections, he has no other option except Punjab.
After the Delhi defeat, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, former minister Satyendra Chauhan and other advisors of Kejriwal have already increased their visit to Punjab. Recently, AAP leaders who came from Delhi were also part of the meeting regarding the formation of schools, health and even many policies of the state. The continuous visits of AAP Delhi leaders to Punjab are on the target of opposition parties. This is the reason that now BJP has also extended the Punjab tour of its strong Delhi cabinet minister and prominent Sikh face Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
Kejriwal will try to go to Rajya Sabha from Punjab
As soon as Kejriwal went to Vipassana, Delhi cabinet minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stepped on the soil of Punjab and fiercely targeted Kejriwal and AAP in the capital Chandigarh. Sirsa had then said that in the coming days he would make every possible effort to go to Rajya Sabha from Punjab. In such a situation, coming to Ludhiana seems to indicate this.
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has come to know very well that it is very important for him to win the Punjab assembly elections in 2027. Only by forming the government for the second time in Punjab, he can compete again in the electoral battle of Delhi. At this time, Punjab is acting as a lifeline for AAP in every sense. This is the reason why BJP, Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal are also trying their best to oust AAP from power.
