Now the double bench of the Chief Justice of the High Court will hear the petitions filed by the associates of Khadoor Sahib MP and Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh against the NSA imposed on them. Till now these petitions were being heard in a single bench of the High Court.
Amritpal’s associates Pappalpreet Singh, Bhagwant Singh alias Prime Minister Bajeke, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Kulwant Singh Raioke, Gurinder Aujla and Basant Singh had challenged the NSA imposed on them in the High Court last year. Now a fresh NSA has been imposed on all of them. On which the hearing was going on in a single bench. Advertisement
On Friday, all these cases came up for hearing in the bench of High Court Chief Justice Sheel Nagu and Justice Vikas Suri, however, due to the lawyers keeping the work in the High Court stalled today, all these petitions could not be heard. Now the Chief Justice’s bench will hear these petitions on August 28. On the other hand, Amritpal Singh has also filed a petition in the High Court challenging the NSA imposed on him.
