Even though the permanent fronts of the farmers have been removed from Khanauri and Shambhu border, the central government will continue talks with them. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan gave this information on Saturday. In a post on social media, he has also appealed to farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal to end the hunger strike.

He said that he will hold a meeting with the farmer organizations again on May 4 at 11 am as per the pre-scheduled schedule. Chauhan said that Dallewal has now returned from the hospital and we wish him a speedy recovery. He said that the ongoing talks between the representatives of the Center and the farmer organizations regarding the demands will continue further.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that all the issues have to be resolved through meetings, but the Center and Punjab government did not do right with the farmers. The front was forcibly removed and the farmer leaders were arrested. Now both the forums of farmers will hold a meeting regarding this, in which they will take the final decision on participating in the meeting with the Center.
