America has deported 104 illegal Indian immigrants under the new immigration policy. These include Muskan, a resident of Jagraon. The US Air Force’s ‘C-17 Globemaster’ aircraft landed at Amritsar Air Force Base at around 2 pm on Wednesday.
Muskan is originally a resident of Mohalla Pratap Nagar in Jagraon. She went to the UK on a study visa a year ago, where after staying for a few months, she reached the US illegally through an agent. After staying there for about a month, she was deported.
Muskan’s father Jagdish Kumar runs a dhaba on Purani Sabzi Mandi Road. He told that Muskan, the eldest of four daughters, had dreamed of settling abroad. She went to the UK to study on January 4, 2024 after doing IELTS. For this, she took a loan from banks and borrowed money from relatives. He came to know today that his daughter has been deported from America.
After immigration and custom clearance, Muskaan was handed over to Punjab Police. Rural police personnel had reached Amritsar airport since morning to pick her up. Muskaan’s return has left the family inconsolable.

As soon as the family got the news of her deportation, her father and mother became inconsolable. Her sister Riya told that Muskaan was the eldest among them. After this, Ritika is the youngest among the sisters. Her father Jagdish Kumar says that he also came to know today that Muskaan has been deported, so he was preparing to go to Amritsar but then he came to know that Jagraon police has gone to pick her up. He said that his daughter had reached America on January 1, 2025, but he does not know how she reached America. When he spoke to his daughter, she told that she was going to America by plane. For this, his daughter had also paid the fee of the agent, who was also a resident of UK.
