A day ago, 2 foreign nationals (Sri Lankan, boy and girl) were kidnapped from the city. Amritsar police solved that case within 24 hours. Police did this miracle with the help of cyber technology. It is being told that the boy and girl are absolutely safe. It has been found that foreign currency was also swindled in the name of sending them abroad. Police station A division had registered a case of kidnapping against about half a dozen people last night. Initial investigation has revealed that the police arrested 2 criminals, while, different teams are raiding to arrest others.
Reliable sources of the police department have revealed that the case was quite serious. Moreover, those who were kidnapped were foreigners. The Home Ministry also intervened in this matter and requested to catch the criminals behind this incident as soon as possible by talking to the Home Ministry of Punjab. Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar could not sleep last night due to this matter. He formed a team of some brave police officers including ADCP. Then with the help of cyber cell, every activity of the kidnappers was monitored. It is being told that the Police Commissioner was watching every activity of his team with the help of cyber technology.
It is being told that some time after the kidnapping, the team came to know the location of the kidnappers. Sources have revealed that they had hidden in a part of Punjab. When the police team found their clue, they were surrounded from all sides. The team arrested 2 alleged criminals on the spot, while others managed to escape. Whereas, 2 foreign nationals were safely rescued from their clutches.

Sources have revealed that an agent agency called the foreign nationals to Amritsar, claiming to send them to a foreign country. Both of them reached there last night on the route given by them. Sources have revealed that foreign currency worth lakhs was snatched from them. When they protested, they were kidnapped and forcibly pushed into the car. It has been learned that both of them were blindfolded so that they could not know the place where they were taking them after kidnapping them. People close to the kidnappers lodged a complaint with the police. After that, the matter became very serious and the police traced their location with the help of cyber cell.

Police department sources have revealed that in this case, the Police Commissioner formed a team of brave and courageous officers and employees. They were immediately informed on the phone that everyone should reach the Police Commissioner. In the meeting that lasted for an hour, the plan was explained to the team in a listed manner. It is being told that this operation which went on late at night became successful by morning. The state DGP praised the Police Commissioner and his team for the team’s good working and congratulated them. Sources have revealed that this team had a top record.
A huge ransom was demanded for releasing them
Sources have revealed that the kidnappers had demanded a huge ransom from the family members of the foreign nationals in exchange for releasing them. It is being told that one of the kidnappers knows many languages. He talked in their language. Sources have revealed that the ransom was demanded in Euro currency. It is not yet clear how much was demanded. On the other hand, it has been learnt that the family members are also reaching Amritsar. They have also thanked the police.
Possibility— Support of a big gang network
Sources have revealed that a big gang network may be involved in this kidnapping. Because, kidnapping someone from the city in broad daylight is not an easy task. Some experienced gang members may also be involved in this. Currently, the police have arrested 2 gang members. Their interrogation is going on. It is being investigated which other gang members were involved with them. At present, the police is claiming that a big disclosure can be made about this case by tomorrow.

Apart from the cyber cell, CCTV footage also helped the police a lot in solving this case. Sources have revealed that the police searched every part of the city, from where the kidnappers’ car came out. Different teams worked on this. The team first found out the number of the car, then whose name it was. After taking him into custody, the team directly reached the kidnapper. There is no information about any encounter between the police and the kidnappers. At present, the police is claiming 100 percent of solving this case. It is being told that this has been the biggest case of this year for the Amritsar Police of Punjab. Solving it was not an easy task. The team worked on this case for 24 hours, then it was solved.
