People of the India-Pakistan border area of Fazilka have started leaving the village. People are going towards safer places by loading household goods in tractor trolleys.
Local people say that during the 1965-71 war, Pakistan had surrounded this area and took many people captive. This is the reason why now they are forced to leave their area due to fear of war.
Giving information, Fauja Singh, Khushal Singh, Baljinder Singh and Gurcharan Singh, residents of village Pakka Chishti, said that after the air strike by India on Pakistan, there is an atmosphere of tension between India and Pakistan. Due to which the said people are going towards safer places with their household goods.
Pak soldiers looted all the goods lying in the houses
They say that during the 1965-71 war, Pakistan occupied this area. Due to which they took many people of this area captive. When the situation calmed down and an agreement was reached between the two countries, Pakistan released the Indian people.
But during this war, the said people looted all their goods lying in the houses. This is the reason that now they do not want to see that scene again. Due to which people are evacuating their homes and going to safer places.
