Jalandhar Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday arrested a key person associated with Delhi’s ViewNow Marketing Services Limited after a search from Delhi. Jalandhar Enforcement Directorate (ED) has shared information about this.
The accused has been identified as Arif Nisar (founder). The search was conducted under the provisions of PMLA 2002 in connection with the money laundering investigation against ViewNow Marketing Services Limited and related entities and individuals.
After which, ED Jalandhar arrested Nasir for not getting full cooperation in the investigation and also seized a large amount of records from him. On the basis of which further investigation is going on in the case and a solid basis can be prepared for the arrest of other accused.
Arif Nisar, who was made an accused in the case, was produced before the Special Court (PMLA, Jalandhar) by ED Jalandhar immediately after his arrest. From where they have got the remand of accused Arif till March 4 i.e. (8 days). Inquiry will also be done on the basis of other associates and records in the case.
Investors were promised higher returns
A case was registered by Gautam Buddha Nagar Police of Noida under various sections of BNS 2023. ED investigation revealed that ViewNow Marketing Services Limited along with other companies had deceived various investors. They were told to give higher returns under the guise of selling cloud particles and leasing those particles back (SLB model).
While they did not have any infrastructure for this. Let us tell you that for a long time ED Jalandhar was investigating this matter and has also seized assets worth more than Rs 180 crore in the case so far. Which includes two G-Wagon, one XUV Lexus, one Range Rover, Rubicon, Audi R-8, Range Rover Sports and other luxury vehicles and properties.
Big Boy Toys’ role is also suspicious in the case
Let us tell you that earlier, Jalandhar Enforcement Directorate (ED) team of Punjab had searched more than 2 dozen places in Punjab-Haryana and Mumbai. Which includes Gurugram, Panchkula, Jind, Mohali, Mumbai and other districts. This search was done on many companies including ViewNow Marketing Services, Big Boy Toys.
The companies include ViewNow Infratech Limited, Big Boy Toys, Mandeshi Foods Private Limited, Plankdot Private Limited, Byte Canvas LLP, Sky Verse, Sky Link Network and related institutions.
The name of the country’s largest luxury second hand car firm Big Boy Toys was also found in this money laundering case. Where after the search, many luxury vehicles were seized.
Bought luxury vehicles from the income
ViewNow Marketing Services Limited and other companies associated with it bought luxury vehicles from the income generated from all these things. Funds worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were routed through shell companies and further diverted through investment in properties.
Earlier, searches were also conducted on November 26, 2024 at various premises of ViewNow Marketing Services Limited and related entities under the provisions of PMLA, 2002.
