Former Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor Arvind Kejriwal reached Hoshiarpur in Punjab on Tuesday evening. Kejriwal reached here for the 10-day Vipassana meditation camp starting from Wednesday, March 5 at Dhamma Dham in Anandgarh village of Hoshiarpur. His wife Sunita Kejriwal has also accompanied him.
When Kejriwal reached Hoshiarpur, he was accompanied by a convoy of about 20 vehicles. Apart from this, more than 100 commandos of Punjab Police were also there for his security. Meanwhile, the video of Kejriwal’s convoy is going viral on social media. On reaching Punjab, a long convoy of vehicles with red and blue lights was running in front and behind Kejriwal. Due to this, the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab and Kejriwal have come under the target of the opposition.
The opposition is enraged at Kejriwal’s pomp and show. The BJP has raised questions on giving so much security to Kejriwal. BJP says why is Kejriwal in a grand convoy in Punjab. BJP has also raised questions on the deployment of more than 100 commandos.
At the same time, AAP’s rebel Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal has also shared a video on social media and took a dig at Kejriwal’s convoy. She also taunted that Kejriwal’s convoy in Punjab is bigger than that of US President Donald Trump.
Kejriwal reached Hoshiarpur by road from Chandigarh
Kejriwal along with his wife Sunita Kejriwal reached here by road from Chandigarh and will stay overnight at the Forest Rest House in Chohal on Chintpurni Road, where he will join the Vipassana camp on Wednesday morning. Hoshiarpur MLA Brahma Shankar Jimpa went to welcome him. Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been made around Chohal Rest House and Dhamma Dham in Anandgarh village.
