On Saturday, a video of a young wrestler was widely circulated on social media. In the video, wrestler Sahil Sharma, a resident of Amritsar, Punjab, is clearly seen narrating the harassment he faced. He clearly warned that if he did not get justice soon, he would be forced to commit suicide. He held the Punjab Wrestling Association responsible for this. At present, seeing the matter getting heated, the Wrestling Association decided to issue a notice to two wrestlers and their coach regarding this entire episode. This was confirmed by Punjab Wrestling Association State Secretary Shahbaz Singh. On the other hand, the family members of the victim wrestler Sahil Sharma have also made it clear that if they do not get justice, they will approach the court. A petition against the State Wrestling Association can be filed in the High Court.
On Saturday, trials were organized by the Punjab Wrestling Association for the top wrestling competition of the year 2024 at a sports stadium in Ludhiana. It is being told that the player who won from here was to get an opportunity to play in the national competition. Wrestlers from all categories from various parts of the country participated. Sahil Sharma from Amritsar participated in the 61 kg weight category. He faced Haryana wrestler Parminder Yadav. Meanwhile, Parminder Yadav was accused of slapping Sahil Sharma. A dispute broke out between the two. The match was stopped midway. Sahil accepted his mistake and apologised to the wrestling association in writing, but it is alleged that the wrestling association did not listen to him at all and expelled him from the competition.
On the other hand, disappointed wrestler Sahil Sharma uploaded a video on social media. Which is being circulated very fast. Accusing the Punjab Wrestling Association, he said that he was treated with blatant bullying. “The mistake was initiated by his rival wrestler (Parminder Yadav).” “After I apologised in writing, I was expelled from the competition, I am being forced to commit suicide, if anything happens to me, the Punjab Wrestling Association (General Secretary) will be responsible for this.”

After thinking about it, the association has decided that notice will be sent to both the wrestlers and their coaches. The association has taken the matter very seriously. I agree that Sahil is a good player, but, despite the whistle being blown, his one move could have cost the life of the other wrestler.
