Four-wheeler drivers passing through Ladowal Toll Plaza, one of the most expensive toll plazas in Punjab, are going to be burdened once again. Preparations have been made to increase the toll rates once again, in which there will be an increase of up to five percent.

The new rates will come into effect after 12 o’clock on the night of March 31. The surprising thing is that the government is preparing to burden the pockets of the people for the second time in the year. People are very angry with this decision of the toll plaza company. People say that the rates have been increased for the second time in the year, which will cause them a lot of trouble. More money is being spent on toll than buying vehicles.

Ranchod Infra Developer Private Limited Company got the contract in December 2024. The company has a contract from Panipat to Ladowal. Earlier, Sahakar Global Limited had the contract. Now the new company has increased the rates by 5% on the orders of the National Highways Authority of India. Company manager Vipin Kumar said that the rates have been increased on the orders of the National Highways Authority of India. The rates will be applicable from April 1. He said that he does not know when the rates were increased earlier. The company got the contract in December. Now the rates have been increased as per the rules.

Earlier vehicles which were charged Rs 220 for 24 hours one way, will now have to pay Rs 230, while the fare for round trip was Rs 330, which will now be Rs 345.

For light commercial vehicles, Rs 355 was charged for one way and Rs 535 for both ways, which will now be Rs 370 for one way and Rs 555 for both ways.

Earlier, Rs 745 was charged for one way and Rs 1120 for one-way travel for buses and trucks, which will now be Rs 775 for one-way and Rs 1160 for one-way travel.

Earlier, Rs 815 was charged for three-axle commercial vehicles and Rs 1225 for one-way travel, which will now be Rs 845 for one-way and Rs 1265 for one-way travel.

Earlier, Rs 1170 was charged for one-way travel and Rs 1755 for one-way travel, which will now be Rs 1215 for one-way and Rs 1820 for one-way travel.

Earlier, Rs 1425 was charged for one-way travel and Rs 2140 for one-way travel for over-size vehicles, which will now be Rs 1475 for one-way travel and Rs 2215 for one-way travel.
