Even before this, #JusticeForSidhu and #LegendsNeverDie started trending on social media. Here, after the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, 8 of his songs have been released. His father has announced to contest elections and Sidhu’s fans are demanding punishment for the killers.
Sidhu’s father said – Peace gatherings are interrupted every time
At the event, Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh said – We know how the last 3 years have passed. Your support gives me solace. If you had not been there, we would not have reached where we are with Sidhu’s case.
The government has sworn to suppress the voice raised for Moosewala. When we celebrated Moosewala’s death anniversary, they had to arrest Amritpal on the same day. We gave readymade ration to the cow shelter. They find some excuse or the other. Whatever gathering we organize for his peace, it is interrupted every time.
Charan Kaur wrote this post in the name of her son before the gathering
Before going to the gathering, Sidhu Moosewala’s mother Charan Kaur wrote in Punjabi – Sidhu, once you were born and were 3 days, 3 months and 3 years old. Your knock in our lives increased our power to fight every difficulty. We crossed every difficulty laughingly after seeing your face, but today 3 years have passed talking to your pictures. Also waiting for your justice.
He further wrote- In these 3 years, whenever a ray of hope of getting justice was seen, at the same time it was also broken badly. In these 3 years, many objectionable things have happened on social media related to our case. Due to this, even our hope of strict action went in vain. Son, still we will not back down. We will keep raising our voice for our rights.
