Coming from a family with a sacrificial spirit, he made it his life’s mission to follow the path of development to create a new society. He has set a new example in this time by overcoming many challenges. Currently, he honors and encourages honest police officers. As a result, the police department sees him as a rising star.
Since childhood, Vikas was both academic and mischievous. The honest image and bravery of his late grandparents in the police department left a distinct impression on him. By connecting with people from all walks of life, he learned a lot and used it for good work. According to him, this has benefited him. In particular, young people who had strayed from their path were brought back into line and transformed into good people for society. Their total number has reached hundreds. By launching a campaign against drug dealers, they were put behind bars with the help of the police. As a result, these areas are now on the path of development. The police, by providing all possible assistance, have set an example that the Punjab Police is truly courageous and passionate.
Vikas Comes From a Family of Martyrs
Nearly four generations have worked for the country and society. His late grandfather, D.R. Sharma, served in the Punjab Police for over 40 years. He fought bravely during the era of terrorism. His family received numerous death threats, but he considered his duty and country supreme and selectively killed them to end terrorism. Similarly, his late father, Vipin Sharma, also served in the police. He played a key role in making many areas crime-free by taking on criminals on numerous occasions. He retired as a sub-inspector.

According to Vikas, he has experienced such a time in his life that even thinking about it in the present makes him feel scared. This is because, in the 90s, his family was targeted by terrorists. However, stories of bravery were in his blood, so he fought bravely at all times. That period taught him so much that it made him determined to do something different for society. He received full support from his friends and family in these endeavors, so now even the most difficult tasks seem easy to him.
He has complete respect for the khaki uniform.
Since childhood, Vikas’s family wanted him to join the police. His grandfather and father tried to persuade him several times to join. However, he had a strong desire to do something different for society. Gradually, as he became more dedicated to society, his family realized that Vikas wasn’t meant for the police, but rather for serving society. Now, his family not only appreciates his every action but also encourages him.
How he helps
According to Vikas, in the age of social media, it doesn’t take him long to reach out to those in need. To do this, he has established a group with other youth on social media platforms. Everything is written in detail in that group. Therefore, whenever a need arises, the needy can reach out to him. Whether it’s financial assistance or blood donation, his group is always ready to help. In this way, he is also setting a good example in the eyes of the administration. However, Vikas believes that his greatest strength is his friends and brothers, who come together when the time comes.
His only dream is to create a drug-free society, not politics.
He has no interest in entering politics. That’s not to say; his family is associated with the RSS and the BJP, and he’s even been invited to join a political party several times. However, he has a dream of making society drug-free, and he’s working tirelessly day and night to achieve it. All his friends and relatives are also supporting him in this endeavor.
