To stop drug smuggling through drones in Punjab, now Punjab government will prepare its own anti-drone system. For this, the government has made a new action plan. The government is going to buy advanced systems soon. For this, the government has taken trials of companies installing anti-drones.
Chairman of the High Power Committee for De-addiction Harpal Cheema and Aam Aadmi Party AAP chief and committee member Aman Arora and DGP Gaurav Yadav are present. Also said that soon funds will be arranged in this regard.
Minister Aman Arora said that Punjab Police and the state government are facing a big challenge. Weapons and drugs come from across the border, due to which the atmosphere gets spoiled many times. Punjab Police is very efficient, but sometimes challenges increase due to technology. However, a challenge cannot be underestimated just by looking at it.
DGP sahab was studying this issue for a long time. Companies that provide solutions to deal with drones not only to the Indian defense system but also to other countries have been called. Even though the BSF has an area of 50 kilometers, they are not able to get complete success in this area. In such a situation, the need to prepare a second line of defense was felt. This demo was organized for this purpose.
We have taken concrete steps to protect people from drugs. This is a new effort to strengthen the security of Punjab, so that in the coming time, drugs and weapons coming from across the border can be stopped. Apart from this, work is also being done on how to deal with this at the ground level. He said that if the smuggled goods do not reach, then there will be no one to take them.
The DGP said that most of the smuggling is happening through drones and this is a strict action taken under the ‘War on Drugs’. He said that updates will be given daily on this subject. By September 2019, 50 percent success had been achieved in this direction, and now strict action will be taken even at the small level.
