The minimum temperature of Punjab also decreased by 0.7 degrees. However, it remains near normal. The lowest minimum temperature of 22.5 degrees was recorded in Bathinda city. The minimum temperature of Ludhiana, Patiala and Bathinda was recorded below normal. Mainly 0.8 mm rain was recorded in Amritsar, 14.4 mm in Ludhiana, 3.6 mm in Patiala, 43.0 mm in Bathinda, 8.4 mm in Faridkot, 14.2 in SBS Nagar, 4.5 mm in Moga.
The maximum temperature of Amritsar was 33.9 degrees, Ludhiana 30.6 degrees, Patiala 30.3 degrees, Pathankot 32.2 degrees, Ferozepur 34.5 degrees, Fazilka 37.9 and Jalandhar 31.4 degrees. Whereas the minimum temperature of Amritsar was recorded at 26.3 degrees. Ludhiana 25.6 degrees, Patiala 26.1 degrees, Pathankot also 26.1 degrees, Faridkot 25.9 degrees and Jalandhar 24.6 degrees.
Punjab has recorded more than normal rainfall in the month of June after six years. According to the data received from the Meteorological Department, this time in the month of June, 69.7 mm of rain has been recorded in Punjab as against the normal rainfall of 54.5 mm. This is 28 percent more rainfall than normal.
