To maintain law and order and peace in the city, about 1800 police personnel including DCP, ACP, police station chief officers and 80 posts were deployed in the field. The special thing was that Police Commissioner IPS Gurpreet Singh Bhullar himself took charge to boost the morale of his officers and employees and gave a good message to the general public. He shook hands with his police employees and wished them a Happy New Year. He warned that this time there will be no mercy for those who create ruckus, if anyone tries to break the law, strict action will be taken against him. No one will be spared.

Senior police officers, ADCP, ACP, police station in-charge, 1800 police personnel, 54 patrolling teams were deployed in the city. It is being told that the police is keeping an eye on every place through ultra-modern technology. Nothing is being said to those who are roaming around freely and having fun. Whereas, full attention is being paid to those who create ruckus. The police does not want to take any kind of risk, therefore, suspicious vehicles are also being searched. Vehicles are being asked to park at the parking place. This time the time has been fixed till 12 o’clock.

Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that this time no order has been issued to create too much crowd in any area. Because, it has often been seen that due to the crowd, the miscreants spoil the atmosphere. Due to this, the general public also has to face trouble. But, this time it will not be allowed to happen at all. Strict legal provisions have been made against those who break the law. Drinking alcohol will not be allowed in the market. Everyone can enjoy sitting in a hotel or restaurant.
Special arrangements of women police too
This time a special team of women police is also seen at the check post. She is keeping an eye on the activities of those women who often spoil the atmosphere of the city by drinking alcohol. These are mostly girls or women from rich families. Women police have been prepared to take action against such women or girls.
