Bloody clash broke out between two groups in Amritsar Central Jail Fatehpur. Half a dozen prisoners were injured in the gang war. The CRPF personnel posted at the jail had to use mild force to separate the attackers from both the groups. Those injured in the gang war were admitted to the Civil Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Police station Islamabad has registered a case against about 12 people of both the groups.
According to the information, there was a fight between two groups in the barrack number 2-3 of Fatehpur Central Jail around 6 am on Saturday. In this, all the three undertrials of the first group, Gurbej Singh, Rahul and Bharat were injured. On getting the information, the CRPF jawans who reached the spot separated the prisoners of both the groups by using mild force and the three injured prisoners were admitted to the civil hospital for treatment. ACP Central Surinder Singh said that the matter is being investigated and the police will soon register a case and take further action.
