There was grief of losing lakhs of rupees, so the gambling money was looted. Illegal weapon of 32 bore was used for this. DAVINDER Singh, Ravinder Singh, who carried out the crime, were arrested from JahajGarh area. Illegal pistol used in the crime and 500 banned bullets were recovered from their possession. Police is investigating about any kind of criminal record. A case was registered against a total of 7. The remaining absconding people will be arrested soon. The mastermind is said to be hotel owner Raman Uppal. Apart from this, legal action was also taken against those who did not allow passengers to enter 2 famous hotels of the city. This was confirmed by ADCP Urban-3 Harpal Singh during a press conference held at Thana A Division on Saturday. It was also reiterated that a big disclosure will be made in the coming time.

Top police officer Harpal Singh at Thana A Division said that the matter was of the intervening night of 7-8. Some people complained that there was a ruckus in the hotel. Lakhs of rupees were looted. The police found something suspicious in the complaint. Under the leadership of ADCP Harpal Singh, Thana A Division’s SHO Baljinder Singh, Assistant Inspector Parshottam Lal were appointed to solve the case. When the team started investigating, it was found that the mastermind of this case is the hotel owner Raman Uppal. Meanwhile, the police got information that 2 criminals associated with the case are in Jahajgarh area. Police reached there with different teams and caught Devendra Singh and Ravindra Singh. On the information given by Sandeep Kumar, 500 banned bullets and a 32 bore country-made pistol used in the crime were recovered from Devendra Singh. In the investigation, it was found that the weapon was illegal. Police judicial custody can be demanded by presenting them in the court.

Identification of the alleged criminals

There are a total of 7 criminals involved in this crime. The number of people involved in gambling theft has been reported to be 4. They were identified as Raman Uppal resident Navankot (hotel operator and manager), Sandeep Kumar alias Tota resident Kamboh, Devendra Singh resident Fatehgarh Churian Road, Amandeep Sharma, Gurdeep Singh both residents of Cheharta, Avinash Kumar resident Gate Hakiman, Pradeep Bhatia, Ladi resident Majitha, Hira resident Akash Avenue, Rohit resident Majitha Road.

Many hotels on the radar of the police

Many types of wrongdoings take place in many small and big hotels of the city. For this, the police formed different teams. They are investigating every activity in a technical manner. Last night, the police registered a case against 2 hotel operators of the city. They are accused of not maintaining their records (registration of passengers) properly. This was revealed after investigation. The police have warned that if the hotel owners do not maintain their records, they will be in trouble and strict action will be taken against each of them as per the law.
