Political party leaders scuffled with Border Security Force (BSF) at Attari border on India-Pakistan border. Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) was protesting on Thursday demanding to start import-export with Pakistan from Attari border. Police and BSF jawans tried to stop them, then Akali Dal got into a scuffle with BSF jawans.

Workers led by Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann took out a fury march in Attari town. The protesters wanted to protest near JCP at Attari border, but police and BSF stopped them on the way. During this, SAD Amritsar workers also scuffled with BSF jawans. However, the matter was later pacified.

Simranjit Singh Mann said that the Indian government should start trade of 4500 items from Attari border. This will give more than 50 percent profit on expenditure. Punjab will be economically prosperous. Unemployment will end in Punjab.

He said that the government wants to benefit some of its favorite business institutions. This is the reason why trade is not being started from Attari border. During this, party leaders Harpal Singh Balair, Upkar Singh Sandhu, Amrik Singh, Manpreet Singh and Harbir Singh Sandhu etc. were also present.
