In Amritsar, Punjab, police have arrested a smuggler with a huge consignment of drugs. Police have caught the accused with 5 kg heroin. The accused was riding a Fortuner. The accused has been identified as Gurveer Singh alias Gora (32), resident of village Basti Mohammad Shah Wali, Police Station Mamdot District Ferozepur. The surprising thing is that the accused Gurveer is posted in the Civil Surgeon Office, Ferozepur. He is a driver in the Civil Surgeon Office.

Amritsar Police has recovered 5 kg 100 grams of heroin from the accused. A case has been registered against the accused in the Cantt Police Station. Police is trying to find out about the accused’s accomplice. Police investigation revealed that the accused Gurveer Singh had come to Amritsar from Ferozepur to get the consignment of drugs. The accused had left with this consignment of drugs from the rural area of ​​​​the border area. During the blockade, the police stopped the accused’s car and searched it and found 5 kg 100 grams of heroin.

DCP Alam Vijay, SCP Kuldeep, Inspector Mulk Singh have succeeded in arresting the accused. Police said that the accused Gurveer Singh was posted as a contract driver in the Civil Surgeon Office, Ferozepur in the year 2021. The accused is a 12th pass. Investigation revealed that Gurveer Singh had entered the drug smuggling business only three months ago. The accused had come to the Amritsar border area from Mamdot, which is a border area in Ferozepur, to collect the consignment of drugs.
