Joda Phatak road jam, traffic chaos…..the police commissioner, traffic DCP, Mohkampura police station are responsible for this….?

Pawan Kumar. Amritsar.
Perhaps even today people have not forgotten the Joda Phatak rail accident that happened a few years ago, because the wounds were so deep that even the ointment could not work. Many families were completely ruined in that accident. During that time, a lot of politics took place, no one left any stone unturned to throw mud at each other. At present, the situation is the same as it was then. Traffic problems, jams have made life difficult for people. The special thing is that the traffic police and the police of the concerned police station Mohkampura are not seen here at all. People allege that the Amritsar Police Commissioner, Traffic DCP and Mohkampura police station are responsible for this, who do not understand their duty at all.

On Monday, the scene of Joda Phatak area under Mohkampura police station was terrifying. The road was jammed the whole day. The queue of vehicles was about 2 kilometers. Everyone was in a bad condition. Everyone was seen struggling to reach their destination. Children were sweating in the heat, crying loudly. But the shameful thing is that no traffic police employee was seen to clear the jam. Local people alleged that 2 employees were standing in the afternoon, but, when the jam seemed long, they left from there. A passerby also informed the police on phone, but, the surprising thing was that no police employee was sent there to control the traffic.

Local people alleged that the police only stands there to harass the common citizens. In the late evening, working people are stopped without any basis. They are harassed even if they have complete documents. Whereas, those who carry out criminal activities openly escape by dodging the police and no action is taken against them. A passerby said that even today they have not been able to forget the Joda Phatak incident, because, we lost our loved ones in that accident. Perhaps, at that time also, the police had made a big mistake somewhere. The police system was negligible. The crowd was huge which the police could not control and a big accident happened. Seeing that accident, the police should learn a lesson in the present, but, perhaps they are not averse to this matter.

…….Police salary is lakhs of rupees, still not alert on duty
The local people alleged that each police employee is taking lakhs of rupees monthly salary, despite that they are not alert on their duty at all. When they get a chance, they leave the field and run away, on top of that the general public remains troubled. They have nothing to do with anyone in this. After all, they get salary from the tax money of the public, so the public has the right to ask them why they do not perform their duty properly. Monday’s jam will probably never be forgotten by those who suffered this pain. Many passersby believed that today we could not reach our destination on time, the police administration is clearly responsible for this or the people who were on duty are guilty. They demanded that there should be an investigation on this subject. Those who are found guilty should also take strong action against them, so that this suffering becomes a lesson for everyone.

Know, how many hours the jam lasted in the report

The ground report has revealed that the Joda Phatak jam lasted for about 3-4 hours on Monday. This jam was about 3 kilometers across. All the traffic stopped in the jam. The sound of the horn kept reaching the ears. Everyone was seen struggling to get out of the jam. Meanwhile, there was also a quarrel between the drivers. The drivers even got into a fight with each other, but the solution was that some sensible people calmed the situation by explaining them. The concern was that no major incident should happen due to the movement of trains. But this time, keeping the old incident in mind, the gate man followed the rules with full consciousness.
