Police has arrested three smugglers involved in illegal drug smuggling from Pakistan border adjoining Punjab. All three smugglers are involved in international drug smuggling. Amritsar Taking a major action against drug smuggling from across the border (Pakistan), the Commissionerate Police of Amritsar has busted an international drug smuggling gang. Police arrested three accused and recovered 10.248 kg of heroin from their possession.
Initial investigation by the police has revealed that the main accused of this gang, Sandeep Singh, was involved in illegal drug smuggling for the last 6 years. He was in contact with Pakistani smugglers and used to get consignments of drugs in collaboration with them. In this case, a case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act in Islamabad police station. Police is investigating the matter and the vicious members of the gang are also being searched.
