Two days ago, two unknown people on a motorcycle snatched the mobile phone of a youth who was out for a night walk. In that case, the police arrested both the snatchers. In the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that Simranjit Singh alias Mota, Shubhrat, residents of Maqbulpura, were drug addicts. The police caught them by trapping them in their net. A case was registered against both of them on February 12 on the statement of complainant Sahil Sharma, resident of village Kanwa, district Gurdaspur. It is being told that the pictures of the incident were being circulated very fast on social media. The arrest of both was confirmed by ACP East Maninder Pal Singh during a press conference on Tuesday evening. The police is finding out about their criminal records. The age of both the alleged criminals is said to be around 20-25 years.

Actually, on the night of 12th February, Sahil Sharma, a resident of Gurdaspur district, was walking after coming out of a shop. Meanwhile, he got a call from someone. He was talking to someone on the phone when two unknown people riding a motorcycle at a high speed snatched his phone from behind. After that both of them fled. Sharma complained about mobile snatching in the local police station. The police took this case very seriously.

The top police officer said that when he received the complaint, he took the matter very seriously. First of all, the CCTV camera was checked on the spot. Two faces were seen in it. When the police investigated thoroughly, they came to know that the person who committed the crime was a number one drug addict. The police prepared a plan to trap them in the trap of drugs. When both of them reached to buy drugs, they were caught on the spot. During interrogation, both of them confessed their crime.
