The case of the attack on the priest and his mother in the historic temple Shri Ram Talai Mandir associated with the Sri Ramayana period is gaining momentum. It is surprising that despite the case being with the senior police officials, no legal action has been taken against anyone till now. Now this matter has taken a political turn. Senior leaders of the state and urban BJP of the central political party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have taken the responsibility of getting justice for the victim Pandit Vijay Kumar and his family.
Met the victim priest Vijay Kumar and took the demand letter of his written complaint. Assured him that they are standing with him and are ready to fight a big battle when the time comes to get justice. The above mentioned leaders questioned the working of the police administration and said that not taking any action against anyone till now indicates that someone is putting pressure on them (police department). The above mentioned leaders were talking to journalists in the premises of Shri Ram Talai temple on Sunday.

Vijay Kumar, the priest of Shri Ram Talai temple, has been serving the temple for the last 35 years. He has always opposed some people from time to time to maintain the faith of the temple. This thing was bothering some people. They are trying every way to remove the priest from the temple. But, they proved unsuccessful every time. Recently, some mischievous people attacked the Pandit as part of a conspiracy. It is being told that not only this, the priest’s elderly mother was also attacked. When he took a written complaint to the law (police) for justice on the basis of all the evidence, his complaint was ignored. He reached the office of the Police Commissioner the next day. There the matter was handed over to a police officer for investigation. But, the surprising thing is that no legal action has been taken against anyone till now. The priest alleged that he and his family are being threatened by some people and are being forced to withdraw the complaint.
BJP supports the priest
State vice-president of the Scheduled Caste (SC) branch of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Sanjeev Atwal and District Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secretary Rajiv Sharma (Dimpy) strongly condemned the attack on Shri Ram Talai temple priest Vijay Sharma and his mother. They raised a big question about the action taken by the district police administration so far and said that why the attackers have not been caught till now, why a case has not been registered against them according to the law. By not doing so, it seems that there is some pressure on the police department, due to which the matter is being put on the back burner. The BJP and the Hindu society always stand with the priest and his family. If no legal action is taken soon, then they will not shy away from launching a big struggle.
