STF Punjab and Barnala police conducted a joint operation and raided the factory. During the raid, 3.12 lakh banned capsules were seized. It is being told that these capsules are used for intoxication. In this case, 4 people including the factory owner have been arrested. Police had received information that banned capsules are manufactured in a factory named Aljan Pharmaceutical Private Limited on Naivala Road in Barnala, which does not have a license to manufacture it. Apart from this, many more such medicines are being prepared without approval.


He said that STF has many complaints against the owner of Aljan Pharmaceutical Private Limited and cases have been registered against him. Barnala police team conducted the operation in collaboration with STF team and raided the factory along with Drug Officer Barnala.


During checking, 95 thousand banned capsules were recovered. They did not have any record or approval regarding these capsules. Apart from this, 2.17 lakh other capsules of similar type have also been recovered. Their cost is around Rs 1.16 crore and which does not have any license to manufacture in Punjab.

Know against whom the case has been registered

The police have found raw material for manufacturing, fake seals from the factory. He said that a case has been registered against a total of eight people, in which factory owner Shishu Pal, Dinesh Bansal, Luv Kush Yadav, Sukhraj Singh have been arrested. A Mahindra pickup vehicle has also been recovered from them. Further investigation is going on in the case and more revelations are likely. Raids on other factories and firms are likely to lead to more revelations. He said that this factory was running for a long time, but information was being received for the last one month.

No license

Drug officer Parneet Kaur said that she has raided this factory along with STF and Barnala police. The factory operator did not have any license to manufacture these capsules. These capsules have been recovered in large quantities. He said that many other capsules were also recovered from the factory, which are allowed to be sold outside Punjab, but their sale records were not presented to them. Due to this, all the capsules have been seized.

He said that these capsules were made in the name of a Kangra firm and kept in stock. Its packaging material has been recovered from the spot. He said that seven types of samples of all these capsules have been taken, which will be tested.
