On the intervening night of Thursday-Friday at around 3 o’clock, the miscreants snatched the SLR gun by crushing the home guard jawan with a car. The car was of Haryana number. There were about 5 people aboard. Police registered a case against the alleged criminals. The injured jawan was admitted to the hospital. All the pictures of the incident have been captured in the CCTV camera installed nearby.
According to the information received, when the police asked the people in a car to stop near the Cantt police station during the night, the people in the Skoda car started fighting with the sentry and fled with weapons. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police officers had reached the spot. Police officers had started the search operation with the teams.
The miscreants had come in a Faridabad number car
In the police investigation so far, it has been found that the said accused had come in a car bearing the number of Faridabad in Haryana. In the case, the police has also released the number of the said car. The car number (HR-51-AQ-1696) is registered on a strange code.
Car owner is a resident of Pihova
However, the owner of the said car is a resident of Pehowa area of Haryana and is the second owner of the car. Since the incident, the police have made wireless all over Punjab and have also shared the case information with the Haryana Police.
