Amid the tension between India and Pakistan, traitors of the country are also being caught. A tailor working for the enemy country has been caught in Bathinda, Punjab. The surprising thing is that the traitor tailor was working as a tailor in the military cantonment in Bathinda and was passing on information related to the army to the enemies from there.
The accused has been arrested by the Cantt Police Station on charges of spying on the military cantonment and sending information related to the army to the numbers of Pakistani intelligence operatives. The accused has been identified as Raqib son of Iqbal, resident of village Dusni Haridwar (Uttarakhand).
The accused was working as a tailor inside the Bathinda military cantonment for the last few years. The army and police have recovered two mobile phones from the possession of the accused and sent them for forensic investigation. Suspicious military documents have also been recovered from his mobile phone.
It is being told that the police station Cantt has registered a case against the arrested accused on the complaint of an army officer. Sources say that the officers of other investigation agencies including SSP are interrogating the arrested accused Raqib. So that it can be ascertained with which Pakistani agency the said accused was in contact and how he came.
Since the matter is related to the security of the country, the police and army officers are avoiding giving any kind of more information. However, confirming the matter, SSP Amneet Kaundal said that the army has handed over a suspicious person to the police. He is suspected of spying on the army cantonment. The matter is being investigated. The police is also investigating the angle whether the accused is a spy or is it a case of honey trap.
Got the job in the cantonment because of relatives
Sources have revealed that earlier a relative of cobbler Sunil Kumar works in Bathinda Army Cantt. Because of him, Sunil also got the job of a cobbler in the cantonment. Raqib who was caught recently had also come to the cantonment to work through one of his relatives.
Investigation of people living near Air Force and Army areas started
Sources claim that after the ongoing tension between Pakistan and India, the district police has started investigating people living around Bathinda Air Force Station and Army Cantt area. This has also been confirmed by a senior officer of the district police.
