The Border Security Force (BSF) Jawan who accidentally crossed the border into Pakistan from the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Ferozepur has not returned yet. The Jawan has been in Pakistan’s custody for four days. Even after more than 84 hours, Pakistani Rangers have not released BSF Jawan PK Shah. On Saturday too, BSF officials were waiting for Pakistani Rangers for a flag meeting but they did not come for the flag meeting.
Pakistan Rangers have detained BSF Jawan Constable PK Shah since Wednesday evening. PK Shah is a resident of Kolkata. Sources said that the Jawan’s wife Rajni Shah is coming to Punjab from Kolkata to get her husband released. The Jawan was arrested by Pakistani Rangers when terrorists killed 26 tourists in Pahalgam. At present, there is a tense situation between the two countries.
BSF has shown its bravery many times that whenever a Pakistani citizen used to cross the border and enter Indian territory, BSF used to catch him and after holding a flag meeting, hand him over to Pakistani Rangers. This is one such case that even after more than 48 hours have passed, Pakistan has not released the BSF jawan even after holding a flag meeting.
Let us tell you that many times children and people from Pakistani villages accidentally enter the Indian border because there is no fencing on the Pakistani side, there is only one white pillar and that too is at a great distance. Whereas on the Indian side where the fencing has been done, India also has a lot of land on that side. In such a situation, many times when Pakistani villagers used to enter the Indian territory, BSF used to hand them over to Pakistani Rangers.
Border Security Force (BSF) jawan PK Singh is originally from Kolkata. He accidentally crossed the border and went to the Pakistani border on Wednesday. To release the jawan, a flag meeting was held between BSF and Pakistani Rangers officials first on Wednesday night and then on Thursday afternoon at around 3:30 pm. But even after both the meetings, Pakistan did not return BSF jawan PK Singh.
