BURNT ASHES AT INDO-PAK BORDER FEROJPUR SECTOR (MAM-DOT)

SNE NETWORK.FEROJPUR.

The straw lying for straw in 150 acres of Indian farmers in Mamdot was burnt to ashes due to fire from Pakistani fields. The helpless farmers of Mamdot villages stood on this side of the fencing and kept watching their straw burning but could not even try to save it, because BSF did not open the gates on the fencing.

It is worth mentioning that after the Pahalgam attack, in view of the tension between India and Pakistan, BSF has closed the gates on the fencing and has banned farmers from going to the fields on the other side.

The farmers told that on Monday Pakistani farmers were working in their fields. They know that Indian farmers are banned from going to the fields across the fencing. At around 2 pm, the fire that started from the Pakistani fields reached their fields and the straw lying for making straw in 150 acres was burnt. The farmers say that this mischief is of Pakistani farmers. The farmers whose straw was burning in the fields beyond the fencing stood helplessly near the fencing and watched.

The BSF did not open the gates on the fencing. The farmers say that nine tube wells and even electricity wires have been burnt in the fire. There has been a loss of about twenty lakh rupees due to the burning of tube wells. The farmers who had not prepared the straw have suffered a lot. Due to the wind, the fire was also spreading rapidly in the fields.
