BREAKING—High Court sends notice to ED on AAP MLA’s plea

Hearing the plea of ​​Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Jaswant Singh, arrested in money laundering case, the High Court has issued notice to ED and ordered to file reply by October 15. Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Amargarh Jaswant Singh Gajjan Majra was called for questioning by ED Jalandhar last year. When he did not get cooperation, Gajjan Majra was arrested.

Gajjan Majra is accused of defrauding the bank of Rs 41 crore through his company Tara Corporation Limited. In this case, ED had filed a complaint in money laundering case and arrested Gajjan Majra. After this, he filed a bail petition in the District Court of Mohali. The Mohali Court refused to give him any relief and rejected the petition. On Gajjan Majra’s demand for regular bail, the High Court has issued notice to ED for October 15 and ordered to file a reply.

MLA Jaswant is accused of a bank fraud of Rs 41 crore. The agency has investigated several times before. Earlier, ED raided Gajjanmajra’s house in September. ED officials searched his house for about 14 hours. After which he was called for questioning. But for some reason, he did not cooperate and ED arrested him. His medical was done at Jalandhar Civil Hospital.
