Punjab Police has achieved a big success. Police has arrested five vicious criminals of Bambiha-Kaushal gang. Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has achieved this big success and arrested five main members of Bambiha-Kaushal gang. Illegal weapons have been recovered from the possession of the accused. Police have recovered 9 guns and 15 cartridges from them. Police investigation revealed that the arrested criminals had smuggled these weapons from Madhya Pradesh.
Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said that Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has arrested these gangsters while cracking down on organized crime. With these arrests, the Commissionerate Police has averted three murders. Eight pistols, one revolver and 15 cartridges have been recovered from these accused. The accused have been identified as Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa resident of village Boparai Kalan PS Sadar Nakodar Jalandhar, Harshdeep Singh resident of village Garage Hoshiarpur, Shekhar resident of village Muradpur near Railway Station Tarn Taran, Gagandeep Singh alias Ginni Bajwa resident of New Model House Jalandhar and Amit Sahota resident of village Bambiyan Wal PS Sadar Jalandhar.
He said that these accused were involved in arms smuggling, murder, extortion and other major crimes. Several cases are already registered against the accused. Two cases have been registered against the accused under Arms Act at PS New Baradari Jalandhar and FIR Bhargo Camp. The matter is being further investigated and details will be shared later.
CP Swapan Sharma said that during the last 10 months, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has so far arrested 23 notorious gangsters of different groups and recovered 49 pistols, 121 rounds and 59 magazines from them. The police have taken the accused on remand and will interrogate them regarding backward forward links.
