Amandeep Kaur (30) died under suspicious circumstances in Phillaur town of Jalandhar countryside. Rope marks were found on her neck. Before the funeral, when the women of her in-laws’ side and other relatives were giving her the last bath, a suicide note with the names of the attackers was found written on her thigh with a black pen. In a hurry, the in-laws erased the names. As soon as the police got a whiff of this case, the woman’s body was lifted from the pyre and taken into custody.
According to sources, when the women were giving the deceased her last bath, it was written on her thigh – If something happens to me today, these people will be responsible for it… Now the woman’s postmortem will be done. The police will take the next action in this case only after its report.
According to the information, Amandeep Kaur was married to Golu 10 years ago who has been working in Dubai for two years. He has 2 sons and a daughter. Amandeep Kaur died suddenly on Monday morning. Her in-laws told her parents that Amandeep died of a heart attack. Everything was going according to her in-laws. During the last bath, relative Manpreet saw that something was written on Amandeep’s thigh with a pen. When she read it carefully, it was written – If something happens to me, these people will be responsible.
Before Manpreet could read it properly, Amandeep’s sister-in-law Parveen and other women threw water on it and washed away the names of the people responsible for the suicide.
The sister-in-law started pleading Manpreet not to talk about this to anyone. When the complaint reached the police, the officials stopped the last rites. Amandeep Kaur’s sister Charanjit Kaur says that whenever I used to talk to my sister Amandeep, she used to say that her divorced sister-in-law Parveen has made her life miserable. Her sister-in-law has even started raising her hand on her.
Police station in-charge Sukhdev Singh said that on the complaint of the girl’s side, two women from the deceased’s in-laws’ side have been taken into custody. The real cause of death will be known after investigation and post-mortem report.
