The rebel faction of Shiromani Akali Dal held an important meeting in Jalandhar today. During this, many issues including Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) elections were discussed. The rebel faction has announced its candidate for the post of SGPC president. According to the information, the rebel faction has declared Bibi Jagir Kaur as its candidate. Many senior leaders including Prem Singh Chandumajra, Gurpratap Singh Wadala, Bibi Jagir Kaur were present in the meeting.
On this occasion, Gurpratap Singh Wadala said that today a meeting of the Akali Dal Reform Movement was held, in which many important decisions were taken. The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the ongoing dispute in Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Many false allegations were made, there was so much compulsion that Giani Harpreet Singh had to resign but when he stood with the organization, the resignation was not given.
Wadala said that Virsa Singh Valtoha has said many things earlier also. In a few days it will be revealed who was behind this. No one has the right to harm Sri Akal Takht Sahib and all decisions will be taken on the basis of propriety. According to Valtoha, tradition cannot be changed.
