Amidst the ongoing protests demanding justice for the murder of Parvinder Singh Jhota, who spoke out against drug abuse in Mansa, his father thanked the people of the state for making the Punjab Bandh a success. He appealed to people to resume their work and open shops starting tomorrow. He stated that his family and the committee formed for justice are not in favor of a continuous bandh. They do not want to impact anyone’s livelihood. Calling for a Punjab Bandh today was a compulsion, as every section of the state has supported the efforts to secure justice for his son.

Parvinder Singh’s father said that the livelihood of small shopkeepers, street vendors, and laborers is also dependent on the opening of shops. If shops remain closed, poor families could face difficulties in meeting their daily needs. He expressed particular gratitude to the traders and residents of Mansa, saying that people have voluntarily supported the bandh.

Appeal for Peaceful Protests, Refrain from Vandalism

Parvinder Singh’s father appealed to those involved in the protest to demonstrate peacefully and refrain from causing harm to anyone demanding justice. He stated that the people of Punjab are expressing sympathy for his family, and therefore, there should be no vandalism or violence during the protest. He warned that if anyone indulges in vandalism during the protest, the police administration will be held responsible. He also alleged that the government and administration are attempting to suppress the movement. According to him, it is not appropriate to harass protesters and those who come from outside to support the demand for justice. He also demanded the release of those arrested.

Talks with the administration have not yielded any concrete solution, demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister

Parvinder Singh’s father stated that his talks with the administration have not yet yielded any concrete solution. He alleged that only formalities are being followed in the name of action. He demanded the resignation of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He stated that the purpose of the movement was not to confront anyone, but to secure justice for his son and further his fight against drug addiction. He urged the government to seriously consider their legitimate demands.

Appeal to Farmer Organizations and Social Organizations to Join the Committee

Parvinder Singh’s father appealed to farmer organizations, social workers, business organizations, and various social organizations to join the committee formed for justice. He stated that representatives from various organizations should be included in the committee so that they could offer their suggestions and move the movement in the right direction. He thanked various organizations, including farmer leader Joginder Singh Ugrahan, and urged that each organization send a representative to the committee meetings. He also appealed to the people of the villages in Mansa district to participate in large numbers in the protest. He urged people to bring food and water in trolleys and peacefully pressure the government to accept the demands. He reported that in addition to various districts in Punjab, people from Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan have also come to express their support. He expressed gratitude for the support of all organizations and individuals.

An Appeal to Continue the Fight Against Drugs

Parvinder Singh’s father stated that his son lost his life while raising his voice against drug abuse. He stated that even after his release from prison, Parvinder Singh remained active in social work and listened to people’s problems. According to him, people from different communities came to him with their problems. He stated that Parvinder Singh advised people to approach the police or the Panchayat instead of getting involved in matters such as personal disputes and encroachments. His goal was to raise awareness against drug abuse in society and help people. He appealed to the public to unite to continue his fight and help stop the drug trade.###PUNJAB###MANSA###JHOTA###AAP###CM###MANN###PUNJAB-BANDH###DGP###PUNJAB###AUSTRALIA###NEWZEALAND###AUSTRIA###ROME###HUNGRY###
