In Moga, Punjab, a high speed car wreaked such havoc that it took the lives of father and son. Father and son died in a horrific road accident near village Phulewala on Baghapurana-Nihal Singh Wala highway. This accident happened when both father and son were returning from the petrol pump after filling petrol on their bike. A high speed Creta coming from behind hit their bike hard.
The accident was so horrific that the Creta driver dragged the father and son along with the motorcycle for about 20 meters. The collision was so severe that one leg of the father was cut off and fell away. Both died on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Karamjit Singh (25) and his father Basant Singh alias Gullu (50), residents of village Gholia Khurd. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and took both the bodies into custody and took them to the hospital. The accused car driver has been identified. The accused is also from the village of the deceased, Gholia Khurd.
SHO of Baghapurana police station Kamaljit Singh said that further action will be taken on the basis of the statements of the relatives of the deceased. The accused car driver is a resident of village Gholia Khurd. Legal action will be taken against the accused.
