Muktsar police has arrested two henchmen belonging to Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Three foreign pistols, 20 cartridges, two magazines and a mobile phone have been recovered from both of them.
SSP Akhil Chaudhary said that the police team was checking on Ferozepur Road. During this, the police stopped two suspicious youths and searched them. In this search, a pistol and 10 cartridges were found from one youth. Two pistols and 10 cartridges along with a mobile were recovered from the bag of the other youth. The weapons recovered by the police include Austrian-made Glock 9mm and Chinese PX5 Storm and PX3 model pistols. Two magazines have also been recovered.
The accused arrested by the police have been identified as Avtar Singh alias Labba (21), resident of Kotli Road, Gali No. 9, Muktsar and Ravi Kumar (25), resident of Gandhi Nagar Gali No. 2. Police of Sadar Muktsar police station have registered a case against both of them under the Arms Act.
Initial investigation has revealed that accused Avtar Singh already has two cases registered against him in different police stations under the NDPS Act and assault. Further investigation is being carried out by the police after obtaining remand from the court.
