A truck hit a Honda City car going ahead near Bharthala village on Rupnagar National Highway in Nawanshahr, Punjab. After this, the car collided with a motorcycle going ahead. The person riding the motorcycle was seriously injured in the accident. After the information, the police reached the spot and started investigation.

Road Safety Force team in-charge ASI Kuldeep Kumar said that after getting information from passersby, he reached the spot with the team and on investigation it was found that the truck was being driven by Muzaraf Zameer resident Doda (Jammu Kashmir). He was going towards Ropar. When the truck reached near Bharthala village, the truck lost its balance and hit the Honda City car going ahead of it. The car was being driven by Balveer Singh resident of Amritsar.
He told that after the collision with the truck, the Honda City car became uncontrollable and collided with the motorcycle going ahead. The motorcycle rider Omnath resident Surpur police station Kathgarh was seriously injured. He was going to duty at the time of the accident. His motorcycle was badly damaged. The SSF team sent the injured Omnath to Civil Hospital Ropar by ambulance for treatment. During this time the disrupted traffic was restored.
