Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti is being celebrated with great pomp all over the world. Especially, school children are celebrating this festival in a special way. One such example is that children of a private school in Kharar area of Punjab followed the path of Mahatma Gandhi and gave a message to the country by wearing his costume. Their role forced everyone to clap. In the end, all the children were honored. It is being told that a speech competition was also held.
Through various presentations by Kumar Devansh Veer, a student of class 5, teachers emphasized the importance of not speaking evil, not listening and not seeing evil. Bulletin boards were decorated with thought-provoking quotes of Gandhiji. Students were made aware of the life and struggle of Mahatma Gandhi through effective video clippings and slide shows. Principal Ashima Madam and Coordinators Aarti and Bhavana and Navjeet Kaur inspired the students to imbibe the exemplary values of simple living and high thinking which are more valuable than academic achievement or intellectual abilities.
