BSF has caught a huge consignment of drugs on Thursday near the Indo-Pak border in Tarn Taran district. BSF has recovered more than 13 kg of heroin from the border area. This is considered to be one of the biggest drug recoveries in the state. An official spokesperson of BSF has shared this information.
According to BSF, they had received information about a consignment of drugs in a concrete pipe (Hume pipe) in the border area. After this, BSF jawans conducted a search operation and recovered 13.160 kg of heroin filled in six plastic bottles from a field near village Kalash in Tarn Taran.
The spokesperson said that accurate information received from the BSF intelligence branch and the prompt action by the jawans played an important role in recovering this huge consignment.
