A case of demanding one crore rupees extortion from immigration consultant in the name of gangster Harike Landa has come to light. A victim working in immigration said in a complaint to the police that he has an immigration consultant’s office in village Dharad. His village is Rakh Sheikhfatta district Tarn Taran.
The accused Shahnazpreet Kaur used to cheat customers by pretending to be his sister and get money deposited in her account. He had brought this matter to the notice of the dignitaries of the village and Sarpanch Mandeep. After which the Sarpanch had asked Shahnazpreet Kaur to come to the Panchayat.
If the Panchayat is held, the consequences will be bad
On the evening of August 11, at around 8:30 pm, he was in his office in village Dharad, when a fake message came on his mobile number. Another call came through WhatsApp in which an unknown person calling himself Daddy Tangra said that if a panchayat is held in the village then the consequences will be bad. It is a question of the girl’s honor. After this, another call came in which an unknown person calling himself Daddy Tangra said that if a panchayat is held in the village then the consequences will be bad.
A threatening call came on August 12 in the morning. Then after 12 noon on the same day, his friend Gurbhej Singh, who works in building material, received a threatening call. After this, on August 22, Gurbhej received a call from a foreign number in which a ransom of one crore was demanded in the name of gangster Harike Landa.
Jandiyala police has started action by registering a case against the accused in police station Jandiala Guru. Police has started raids to arrest the accused Shahnazpreet Kaur alias Sofia resident of village Rakh Sheikhfatta and Gurwinder Singh resident of village Sarli district Tarn Taran. Both the accused are friends.
